At CLX Activities we run environment specific First Aid training courses to suit the situations that you may find yourself in when you may need to manage a first aid incident. Our courses are of high quality and are accredited to national standards, with many being Ofqual or SQA approved.

First Aid at Work (FAW) - 18 hours.

First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) - 12 hours.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 6 hours.

Details of our First Aid Courses
First Aid at Work (FAW) - 18 hours. The ITC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is the first aid qualification for larger and higher risk places of employment. The course takes place over three days. This course is Ofqual accredited.
First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) - 12 hours. The ITC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is the first aid qualification for larger and higher risk places of employment. The course takes place over two days. This course is Ofqual accredited. For people who have previously undertaken a First Aid at Work qualification where the expiry date is not exceeded. Please note that we need to see a copy of the previous FAW certificate before the commencement of the course.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 6 hours. The ITC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, is the first aid qualification for low risk places of employment, such as schools, offices, shops etc. In many cases, it negates the need for the longer First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification - please contact us or see the HSE website for further guidance. This course is Ofqual accredited.
Paediatric First Aid - 12 hours. CLX Activities has been approved by Bradford Early Years to deliver the ITC Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid to child care establishments (primary schools, nurseries, childminders, etc) within the Bradford area. This is the first aid training course which allows child carers to meet the statutory requirements as laid out in the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework. It is the obvious first aid training choice for primary schools as it deals with the management of first aid incidents involving children up to the age of 11 years old. This course is Ofqual accredited. The training takes places over two days.
Outdoor First Aid - 16 hours. The ITC Certificate in Outdoor First Aid is the obvious first aid training choice for those leading groups in the outdoors or who may need to deal with first aid incidents in remote locations. It will allow for validation of most National Governing Body (NGB) awards e.g. British Mountaineering Council. Please contact us or the appropriate NGB to find out if it will keep your instructors qualification valid. This course is SQA accredited. The training takes place over two days.
Forest School First Aid - 16 hours. This course is aimed primarily at those who work in a Forest Schools setting, but would also be relevant to others who work with young people in the outdoors e.g. Scout leaders. This course is accredited by ITC. The training takes place over two days.
First Aid for Sport, Exercise & Fitness - 6 hours. This course is aimed at coaches/trainers as a minimum to meet their duty of care requirements. It covers both emergency aid in a sporting setting and managing sporting injuries including cease/return to play decisions. The course is accredited by ITC.
Basic First Aid - 3 hours. For a basic first aid training in emergency life support, this course can be certificated by ITC to provide a basic qualification to give confidence and skills in dealing with first aid situations. It can also validate some coaching qualifications. Please contact us or the appropriate body to find out if it will keep your coaching badge valid.
