About CLX First Aid

CLX First Aid have been delivering high quality first aid training in the Bradford area since 2007. We specialise in practical, environment specific, face-to-face training, contextualised to the participants' requirements, meaning that each course gives the participants training relevant to their needs.  CLX First Aid are the longest established providers of Outdoor First Aid and Forest School First Aid in the local area.

CLX First Aid is an approved centre for ITC First – an Ofqual and SQA Accreditation regulated Awarding Organisation. As it delivers training in regulated qualifications, there is no need for employers to carry out Due Diligence as recommended in the HSE guidance GEIS3. The full quality assurance processes required are carried out through the Awarding Organisation, which gives customers the peace of mind to know that they will receive quality training and in most cases a nationally recognised regulated qualification in first aid.  CLX First Aid has a full set of policies and procedures to protect its learners and give them the peace of mind that their interests are looked after.  These policies are available on request - please use the form in the Contact Us section.  ITC First is unique amongst Awarding Organisations in that it uses purely practical assessment methods for its first aid qualifications, so that you know somebody holds an ITC first aid qualification really can do the first aid that they are qualified for.

Chris Leleux is the owner and principal trainer at CLX First Aid. He is a fully qualified teacher and has worked in both primary and secondary schools for the past 24 years, both in the classroom and as an outdoor education specialist. Until more recently, he was working with children in the outdoors at Priestthorpe Primary School on a weekly basis. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences working with people to make his first aid courses realistic and tailored to suit his customers' needs. He has undertaken Forest School practitioner training, holds a Mountain Leader Award and is active in many adventurous outdoor pursuits. He has been the Club Welfare Officer and Young Referee Co-ordinator with Bingley Juniors AFC and has occasionally assisted with activities with the Airedale Explorer Unit and 1st Bingley Scout Group. When he can, he likes to play out, particularly climbing, lighting fires or chopping down trees.

For the past fourteen years, Chris has also worked as the First Aid Qualifications Manager for ITC First and has contributed to the writing of all the main national first aid qualifications as well as being the driving force behind the development of the national Outdoor First Aid qualifications, a major contributor to the Institute of Outdoor Learning statement of good practice for Outdoor First Aid and advisor to the Forest School Association for their first aid requirements.  This has helped Chris become one of the most knowledgeable experts in the first aid industry.
